Education/Experience
After receiving a B.S. in Psychology and Public Health from Cumberland College, my first job was at Spring Lake Ranch, a farm community in Vermont. I led crews of adults who struggled with mental illness in the farm and garden program. I loved learning about agriculture and getting to work outside! From there, I moved to Alamosa, Colorado, where I became involved in a variety of garden, cooking, and nutrition projects in local schools and eventually got my K-6 Education Degree at Adams State University. Shortly after that I decided to pursue my dream of teaching abroad. In 2012 I was hired by the Kingdom of Bhutan to teach grades 4-8 in remote village schools. I enjoyed it so much that one year turned into four! Next I taught 3rd grade at an International School in Vientiane, Laos. In 2020 I moved back to Colorado and led a homeschool group for Kindergarten-3rd graders. Last year I spent some time substitute teaching and decided I wanted to work with kids again, but not in a public school setting. I am happy that I found WBNS, and am excited to start this adventure.
