Judayah Cray | REGENERATIVE AGRICULTURE & AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM

Education & Experience:

It all started back in 2016 when I worked for a year-round outdoor education center for kids ages 4 and up. I grew with the company and earned the position of Project Coordinator responsible for creating our lesson plans and curriculum for the year. During this time, I worked and earned my Early Childhood Education Certification through AB Tech, took a de-escalation course, a Darkness to Light training, and continued teaching children of all ages in a variety of outdoor environments.

Teaching Philosophy:

Bringing new ideas to the classroom in hopes to explore the world through curiosity, problem solving and hands on learning using real life skills.

Favorite thing about kids:

The infectious laughter and big bright personalities that kids share with the world.

Favorite thing about WBNS:

My favorite thing about WBNS is the importance that teachers and students put on children's emotional needs, the community, and connection.

Quote to share:

“Learning and teaching should not stand on opposite banks and just watch the river flow by; instead, they should embark together on a journey down the water. Through an active, reciprocal exchange, teaching can strengthen learning and how to learn.” -Loris Malaguzzi
